In the U.S., Olympus is primarily known for its very high quality sashiko threads, but the company offers much more. Olympus has made cotton threads in Japan for more than a century. In 1908, the company started production of sewing threads, and in 1929 they began making their first embroidery flosses. Each chapter in Olympus' long history has been accompanied by technical advancements, making the threads stronger, more consistent, and more beautiful with each new era.

Olympus threads are carefully produced for color consistency between batches, so fiber artists can rely on these products for the long term.
